tamarind garlic rasam
Ingredients:
1. Tamarind(one small lemon size)
2. Garlic cloves (6 No.)
3. Cumin seeds (1 tsp)
4.pepper corn(1 tsp)
5. Red Chillies (2 No.)
6. Asafoetida(1/2 tsp)
7. Curry leaves
8. Coriander leaves
9. Oil(2tbsp)
10. Salt
11. Mustard seeds(1/2 tsp)
12. Rasam powder(1/2 tsp)
13. Turmeric powder(1/4 tsp)
14. Tomato(1No.)

Preparation:
1. At first soak the tamarind in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes. And squeeze the tamarind then strain the tamarind juice.keep it aside.

2. Now take a mixture grinder jar add garlic cloves ,cumin seeds ,pepper corn and red chillies grind it well and take the paste.
3. Take a pan and heat 2 tablespoon of oil in it add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
4. Now add curry leaves and asafoetida in it then add the red chilli and garlic paste with it. Cook this for 1 minute.
5. Add tamarind paste add required amount of water and add the salt.
6. Add tomato juice turmeric powder and rasam powder mix it well.
7. Cook this for 3 minutes then add coriander leaves now switch off the flame. Our yummy rasam is ready to serve.
